Ear Surgery

Ear Surgery

Before: On examination, the patient demonstrates significant bilateral ear projection due to an underdeveloped antihelical fold, a common anatomical feature contributing to prominent ears. This presentation is well-suited for otoplasty, which can create a more natural contour and improved ear position relative to the head.

After: On postoperative examination, the ears demonstrate a natural, well-defined contour with a clearly formed antihelical fold and improved positioning closer to the head. Symmetry has been significantly enhanced, creating a balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The patient is very satisfied with the results and reports a high level of confidence following the procedure.

Ear Surgery

Before: On examination, the patient presents with underdeveloped auricular anatomy characterized by near-complete absence of the antihelical fold and a prominent conchal bowl contributing to overall ear prominence. Additionally, there is redundant skin that would require excision to achieve optimal contour and improved ear positioning. This presentation is consistent with features commonly addressed with otoplasty to enhance symmetry and create a more refined, natural ear shape.

After: On postoperative examination following otoplasty, the ears demonstrate a significantly improved contour with restoration of the antihelical fold and reduction of conchal bowl prominence. Ear projection is notably decreased, resulting in a more natural position closer to the head and improved overall symmetry. Redundant skin has been appropriately addressed with well-healed, inconspicuous incisions. The patient is healing well and is pleased with the aesthetic outcome.

Ear Surgery

Before: On examination, the patient demonstrates bilateral prominent ears with significant protrusion due to an underdeveloped antihelical fold. In addition, there are enlarged conchal bowls bilaterally, contributing to the overall increased auricular projection.

After: On postoperative examination following otoplasty, the patient demonstrates excellent improvement in ear contour with a well-defined antihelical fold and reduction of conchal bowl prominence bilaterally. Ear projection is significantly improved, with a more natural position relative to the head and enhanced symmetry. Incisions are well-healed with no evidence of complications. Overall, the patient is healing appropriately and is very satisfied with the aesthetic outcome.
